This book took me by complete surprise. Not only in the style in which it is written – quirky, loveable, and wildly entertaining but for the suspense that I did not see coming. It takes office politics and coping with grief to a whole new level.Ava works as a product engineer at a Brooklyn-based furniture company of the affordable Swedish variety. Sound familiar? The pieces come complete with anthropomorphic names like the Encouraging Desk Chair, Enlightened Tray, and of course, the Very Nice Box, which is Ava’s baby.
